Collette Dahl Lorentzen

She is a true artist of realism and love for her family and the beauty of nature. With so many inspirations of things to paint at her doorstep, she is always striving to paint much more than there is time for.  As a multi-media artist, she also completes many wonderful paintings on commission as well.  Her works in oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel. colored pencil, pen and ink and graphite are realistic and detailed. The overwhelming response to the work she has created for people has been heartwarming, to say the least. Seeing the contented look on clients faces when a picture of a favorite animal or loved one has been completed, is so very rewarding. It is proof positive that her place in life, is to serve people in an artistic way.

Collette grew up on an acreage in a small town in central Iowa.  There, she easily gained a love for her horses, dogs, cats and some assorted animals as well. She now lives in north central Iowa and loves the lake and the people there.

Recently she has found that writing books, with the drawing of the Bassett Hound that she created many years ago, is very satisfying and fulfilling.  She now, is the self published author and illustrator of Wilber children’s books, creating colorful, fun adventures with common lessons for little ones.
